Amplifying Practitioners: Balana’ni Diaz

We use this space to introduce you to the healers, wisdom-keepers, and spirit-rooted activists that are part of the networks of the Soul of the Movement.

Balana’ni Diaz (she/her/hers)

I am a proud grandmother from the Taino Indigenous community of Boriken. I am a descendant of the healer Reyes Sanchez (Mama Reyes) from Rio Grande. I have the great honor of being a formal part of the Indigenous community for over 15 years (although I have been Taino all my life). This has led me to share and learn from the community as well as share my knowledge. My passion for healing and following the legacy of my ancestors has led me to become an energy healer, herbalist, and spiritual guide. This has given me the opportunity to help others find balance and well-being.

Since 2023, I have been an active part of the La Organización Del Pueblo Indígena Can-Jíbaro de Boriké where I fight for causes that are important to our community and the environment. My commitment to social justice and holistic healing drives me to continue learning and sharing knowledge.

I love connecting with nature and people, and I firmly believe in the power of community and spirituality to transform lives. I am here to support and guide those seeking a path to healing and personal growth.

Soul of the Movement is supporting La Organización Del Pueblo Indígena Can-Jíbaro de Boriké in raising funds for a significant return of land to the Taino people of Boriken (also known by its colonial name, Puerto Rico). You can learn more about this visionary land back campaign and give generously here.
